Trash, Recycling and Yard Waste Collection Schedule
- Trash and recycling: collected every Friday morning unless a holiday occurs during the preceding week.
- If a holiday occurs, collection will typically be shifted to Saturday morning.
- Yard waste: collected every other week on Thursday mornings beginning April 11th, 2024 and ending December 5th, 2024.
- Note: These weeks will shift pickup days due to an "in work-week" holiday
- Independence day: Friday July 5th, 2024

- Bulk trash pickup: Saturday April 27th, 2024 and Saturday September 28th, 2024.
- Christmas trees: collection date is set by the waste management company and may differ from one year to the next. Traditionally, it is the day after the first trash pickup date of the new year but it is best to check your email for exact dates

BULK TRASH PICKUP GUIDELINES
- Nothing should weigh over 100 lbs.
- No items with gas or oil in them
- No batteries
- No propane or helium tanks
- No items with Freon
- No corrosive, flammable or hazardous waste
- No medical waste
- No paint (unless it is dry or hardened)
- No tires
- No Fluorescent light tubes
- No E-Waste (TV, computer monitor, computer, etc.)
- No used oils – motor, hydraulic, mineral, cutting, etc.

Yard Waste Guidelines
- Must be in brown commercially sold yard waste bags acceptable to Carroll County Landfill
- Loose limbs can be tied in bundles nor more than 3 feet long and can be easily and safely handled by one person
- Not to exceed 40 pounds per bag or bundle
- No limbs over 2" in diameter
- No plastic bags will be taken
- Please knock any dirt from root balls
- No rocks, dirt, blocks, bricks, or landscaping timbers

New rules on plastic bags and recycling
- Place all your recyclables loose in the bin. Do not bag them
- Plastic bags of any sort in your recycle bin may result in it not being picked up
Where to place Trash and Recycle Toters
We have been asked by our waste management company to "place Trash and Recycle Toters on the opposite side of driveway from the mailboxes to eliminate the chance of damaging mailboxes and to allow safe access to toters"
